Le Klint is inspired by transformation and minimalistic geometry. Christian Troels graduated from Kolding School of Design in 2012. A versatile designer who masters both the conceptual and the technical aspects of designing. He always strives to induce elements that make them different from others in his products with his playful approach. He works with product design of several categories, from bicycles in China to toy concepts. In the 2020 edition of DR's program series "Denmark's Next Classic," Christian Troels has marked himself as a charismatic, innovative, and dynamic designer who dares to think outside the box.
LE KLINT is a lighting company established in 1943, but the company's story dates back to the beginning of the 20th century when a hand-pleated lamp shade was folded to fit a paraffin lamp both designed by architect and master of engineering P.V. Jensen-Klint. LE KLINT is synonymous with lampshades. Our hand-folded iconic shades take years of learning specific techniques, completing a qualifying process, and mastering many different pleating forms before one is inducted as part of the skilled team of Pleating Technicians. This, however, is only a fraction of our product range procedure and the craftsmanship that lies behind each lamp.
